Anthony Burke’s current writing works between political and environmental philosophy, earth system governance, and international law, building upon previous contributions to international security and war studies. His interests include the law of ecocide, the governance of biodiversity and climate change, ecological democracy, multispecies justice, and nuclear safety and governance.
His most recent books are The Ecology Politic: Power, Law, and Earth in the Anthropocene (with Stefanie Fishel, MIT Press, 2025), Institutionalising Multispecies Justice (with Danielle Celermajer et al., Cambridge University Press, 2025), and Uranium (Polity Press, 2017).
